California Licensed C.M.T., Cert.# 1973 Florida Licensed L.M.T., MA 99290 Christopher Grecco  Christopher Grecco entered the field of bodywork over twenty five years ago, and completed his initial certification in massage therapy at the California Healing Arts College in Los Angeles, CA. He continued his studies at the Massage School of Santa Monica, and later at the Institute Of Professional Practical Therapy in Los Angeles, studying a multitude of modalities. One course in particular was on the Fascial tissues of the body (also called connective tissues), and their relationship to the other structures and systems within the body as a whole. It was this course that left a lasting impression…. Fast forward many years later, after working with numerous clients with a myriad of physical and chronic pain issues, and working in various environments such as day spas, gyms, chiropractic, acupuncture offices, and volunteer work (as well as building a private practice), he dove into the teachings of Dr. Ida Rolf, and entered the world of Structural Integration and Fascia! Soon after, Chris acquired a certification in Structural Integration from the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB) in San Diego, CA, under Dr. Ed Maupin. His studies then continued with some of the most esteemed practitioners and teachers in the Rolfing/Structural Integration community - including Jan Sultan (of the Rolf Institute of Structural Intergration), Robert Schliep, Ph.D (director of the Fascia research group at Ulm University in Germany), and Gil Hedley (of Integral Anatomy). Of note - Dr. Ed Maupin and Jan Sultan were among the first group of students that Ida Rolf officially taught in 1968, at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. Being taught by the vanguard of Structural Integration (educated directly by Dr. Rolf herself) was an invaluable resource to Chris’ understanding of the importance of the Fascial matrix. It was because of this understanding and implementation of the principles of Structural Integration and Fascial fitness, and being worked on regularly by other SI practitioners on his own body, that he was able to eliminate his own recurring low back pain successfully! Christopher is committed to keeping up with the most current scientific research and continuing education regarding Fascia and SI. Being able to help others on their own personal journey into wellness is what continues to propel him forward to achieve poetry of motion for everyone!
